La Petite Maison's Cocktail – A Recipe

We present a home-style version of a drink found on a new menu. It's a batch pre-mixed that is packed with essence of a Christmas time, rendering it ideal for a celebration. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup you can use for morning drinks, sweets, or to mix more rounds of the drink.

Bikini Recipe

Makes enough for 10 guests

For the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

For the Drink (produces 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Method

For the Cordial: Put every components into a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. After that, take off the heat allowing it to cool down completely. Pour into an sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for about a month.

Preparing the Premix: Combine the specified liquids in a sizeable container, allow it to infuse for an hour, then filter it best through muslin, making it perfectly clear.

To serve: Pour 85ml of the cocktail base to a cocktail shaker packed with ice, gently stirring gently for about 60 seconds to chill. Strain to a chilled martini glass or similar, garnish with a few cranberries adding the final touch using a brief mist of mandarin oil over the top.
