Assassin's Creed Reveals Bizarre AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.
The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Extra Material
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also adds the game's third complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
